Bruce Baker was born and raised in North Vancouver BC. He is a master painter with several years experience in the industry. He has been at the helm of Urban Strokes Painting & Decor since 2006. In that time he has honed his project management skills and continued to excel in his craft.
Sheri Baker was born and raised in the Lower Mainland, making the West End her home in 1998. She is behind the scenes of Urban Strokes Painting & Decor making sure the business runs effectively. She also has a bit of design knowledge and has been asked to consult on colour choices from time to time.
I went into business in March 1993 with a focus on residential interiors and exteriors. I worked in North and West Vancouver until 2000.
I wanted to increase my skill set, so I took a hiatus for the next seven years and apprenticed with two of the top painting outfits in Vancouver. I was allowed the opportunity to manage projects and liason with general contractors, interior disigners and home owners.
In October 2007 I again ventured out on my own under the name Urban Strokes with a small clientelle and a new skill set.
My dream is to build a business for my family that will leave a legacy of quality, professionalism, trust and respect.
Since then, our name and reputation have come to reflect the legacy I have strived for. I now have a team of highly qualified professional painters and an excellent reputation.
Today we offer more than simple exteriors and intereiors. We have expanded into commercial and specialty coatings as well refinishing older homes.
Bruce and his team are the best. Very professional, amazing attention to detail, and high standards that make their fair pricing worth every cent.
